Sony A7II & Zeiss Planer T* 50mm f2

Back at it again with the Sony A7II camera, but today I'm shooting with the Zeiss Planar T* 50mm f2 M-mount lens. This lens is not as fast as the Voigtlander 50mm f1.1, however it weighs about half as much. This Zeiss lens is a nice compact and very well made lens that produces some surprisingly good pictures. So, off I went for another walk around to see what kind of images I could create with this lens/camera combination.

Chiki Chiki Tan Tan - looking good!

The Bashamichi Taproom - good place to get a cold beer.

Same place as yesterday but with much less on the shallow depth of field.

Even though this is a f2 lens shallow depth of field is easily obtainable.

I'm becoming a fan of this combination already.

I guess ice skating isn't as easy as it looks.

The 3 amigos enjoying a Sunday afternoon.

If one waits long enough someone will walk in front of one's camera.

This pavilion was a gift from the country of India.

More rust!

Brother keeping an eye on sister.

Get on the bus Gus.

Getting colorful in Motomachi.

Always a crowd here on Sunday.

It's only a short walk from Motomachi to China town.

And, there are plenty of people enjoying themselves here too!

Here we are at Yokohama Stadium - home of the bay Stars.

This is the part of Odori Koen (Green Park) where they have special events and Flea Markets.

We're putting the street back into "street photography".

Put me in coach!

Now we're putting the street corner into "street photography".

So far this lens is giving me everything I could possibly want from it.

I didn't realize I took so many street shots.

Sake (rice wine) bottles.

And, that's when the light bulb came on!

One never knows what one will see on a Sunday afternoon in Yokohama.

Thanks for stopping by!
Mike
