Sony A7II & Voigtlander 50mm f1.1

I recently purchased a Sony A7II camera for one specific reason and that is to use it with my M-mount Voigtlander and Zeiss camera lenses. Until now I could only use these lenses on my film cameras but now I can use them to shoot digital. So, this past weekend I put my Voigtlander 50mm f1.1 Nokton lens on the A7II and took it for a test drive.

I always like to test out a new rig on Nicky & Nicole.

They're always more than happy to strike a pose for me.

Next to the girls is a rarity in this world of cell phones, it's a public phone both.

I'm loving the shallow depth of field the f1.1 affords me.

The focal plane is very touchy on this lens and being manual focus doesn't make it any easier.

The NYK Maritime Museum - it's well worth the price of admission.

This is fun! I mean taking pictures, not running.

A picture of a painter.

My old friend the news paper delivery boy.

The fountain in Yokohama Park.

A fine day for a walk.

Baby it's cold outside!

Rust never rests.

Culture, culture, culture; there is no shortage of bronze statues in Yokohama.

Motomachi - where the rich folks shop.

I call this - The Spiral

And, I call this - The mail Box

Pompadour is an excellent bakery.

Guess who? Looks like he's posing for a mug shot.

Strangers on the bridge nowhere.

I am really enjoying this lens/camera combination.

The smell of this burning incense is intoxicating.

Ribbons in the wind.

Time to shoot indoor without a flash.

The "Jack" is always a good indoor location to test a new rig.

Back out on the streets!

The one and only Green Lantern!

Elevated view.

Trains, buses and automobiles.

Last shot of the day - The Confectioner

Thanks for stopping by!
