Some say, The Rose...

Last Saturday Emi and I visited a Rose Garden near Kawasaki City. And, after that we went to the Open-Air Folk House Museum in Ikuta park which is a short walk from the Rose Garden. These are some images from the day.

Ain't she sweet!

Who let this guy in the garden?

And now, The Open-Air Folk House museum

The security guard keeps an eye on the fire.

All I can say is that it was a wonderful day filled with beauty and culture.

Yashima Marsh, Nagano Prefecture

There's nothing better than a stroll around Yashima marsh to reconnect with the wonders of nature. See for yourself.

We pause for a rest and to enjoy a quiet moment away from the rest of the world.

Well, Emi paused for a quiet moment, or something like that. I was just goofing off!

Press on regardless!

The one hour walk ends with this last look at the marsh.

I'd like to come back in the spring when the wildlife is green and the flowers are in bloom.

All the best,
Mike

Lake Shirakaba (Nagano Prefecture)

We spent a night at Lake Shirakaba (Lake White Birch) and the following morning I went out just as it was starting to get light (around 0545) and I took these pictures.

Thanks for taking a look!

What! Leftovers, again!

Yep! It's leftovers, again. These are pictures I took this year that I liked but I didn't thing fit well into the theme of the post I was making at the time. So, with that intro, such as it is, here's my leftover stuff.

Well, there it is, a bunch of odd shots that I felt deserved to see the light of day.

Thanks for stopping by,
Mike
