A walk around the Battleship Mikasa

The Battleship Mikasa is moored in cement in the port city of Yokosuka, Japan. At the request of a gentleman from the United Kingdom I went to visit the Mikasa today and took these pictures for him.

Information on the Mikasa can be found here:

There are guns everywhere.

Got a bit of rust here.

A view of the Mikasa park entrance from the after steering bridge.

This is where the officers would dine.

This is where the ship's Captain took care of important business.

The Admiral's pantry.

More visitors.

This is how one loads a gun.

And, then fire's it.

The entrance to the Mikasa (it's not free).

A stern shot!

Thanks for stopping by!

Killing Time - August is so damn hot!

That's it, I'm killing time until the weather gets better. Today I went out and took these pictures and it really sucked! Hot, humid, really humid, hazy... I thought I was going to have a heat stroke. Anyway, I shot a few pictures and then I headed home. For what it's worth, check it out.

Somebody stepped in front of me just as I snapped the picture.

All the best,
Mike
