People Watching - and other stuff

I can't deny it, I enjoy spending time idly observing people in public spaces; especially happy people in nice surroundings. People are fascinating, people are beautiful, people are people! If every picture tells a story, that story becomes so much more interesting when a person is the picture. Imagine a picture of a door, a very nice door, now imagine it with a person just coming out of the door. Now the picture (in my opinion) becomes a story. So, here we go on a little walk-about to enjoy being around other people.

These three ladies were having a wonderful time at Osanbashi pier, they even asked me to take their picture with their camera.

A lone rider passing through Motomachi.

Street portrait

At first glance it looked like she was going to give me a knuckle sandwich but she was to sweet to do that.

Having friends is a wonderful thing.

A bit of motion blur here but I don't mind.

A tourist in Kamakura.

Street portrait in Kamakura.

Happy girls booking a rickshaw ride in Kamakura.

On her way to do a little shopping (at least that's my story).

You know I love you, I always will
My mind's made up by the way that I feel
There's no beginning, there'll be no end
'Cause on my love you can depend

Looks like a waiter from Rick's Cafe

Notice how nice the sidewalks are in this part of town?

I'm sure I had the wedding ring in my pocket.

I'm cool, you're cool... we're cool. That's cool.

I got my Ray-bans, how 'bout you?

I got my Ray-bans too!

Life is good! Yamashita Park, Yokohama

Children are the future.

The wedding march; a glorious day - nothing beats it.

Well, a good cup of coffee is pretty good too!

A good jazz bar is a pretty good treat as well.

A cloudy sky makes all the difference.

A sky like this doesn't happen everyday. It's almost as if an artist painted it.
Minato Mirai skyline, Yokohama

A decorative post cap in Kamakura.

A damn big ship at Osanbashi pier.

The passenger terminal entrance at Osanbashi pier.

A couple can dream.

I rode that Ferris wheel - once was enough. I felt like I should have got flight pay for being up there. By-the-way, I'm afraid of heights.

Nothing like getting you're buns steamed.

Okay, back to the people watching. Girl power on the move.

 Baby, it's hot out here!

Get me to the church!

A flute player in the park - her music was perfect for the moment.

Most people want friends. It's a lucky person that is blessed with more than one.

Well that's it for the month of September. See you in October!
And, as always...
Thanks for stopping by!

The Sigma Sd Quattro H camera

Yes, I bought another camera. I bought the "Sigma Sd Quattro H" hence the title of this post. I wanted to see if this camera was as good as I hoped it would be. I went to all my favorite locations to run it through the paces. So, here we go.

The Royal Wing pulling away from Osanbashi pier.

Some wide open space at Aka-Renga-Soko (Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse area).

It's a nice day for friends to enjoy being together.

Turning a crate full of empties in to a work of art - at least that's my desire.

Old ceramic jugs.

Curtain tie back with tassel - very elegant.
This is not my beautiful house
And you may tell yourself
These are not my beautiful curtain tie backs!

A reflective waterfront near Yokohama North Dock.

A rusty old bridge.

End of the line.

Rumor has it that they store imported coffee beans here.

Keep out. Rust on the waterfront.

So far I'm enjoying the results I'm getting from this camera.

Taking the Sd Quattro to the streets.

I know happy when I see happy and this is what happy looks like.

A facet drips in Nogeyama park.

I like the beach once the summer crowd has gone.

And, it looks like the crowd is gone!

Our seawalls are the best seawalls.

Everything must oxidize - it's the law.

Go fly a kite.

Go fly a big kite.

Beach junk.

I'll put my faith
In the arms of an open road
And you can come along
If you choose

The beach road in Nobi.

Looking back at where I've been.

Another day another ship in port.

The retirement plan is alive and well. Find a bench and sit on it!

Life in a post card pretty world.

It's a beautiful life to live.

Who can turn the world on with her smile?
Who can take a nothing day, and suddenly make it all seem worthwhile?
Well it's you girl, and you should know it
With each glance and every little movement you show it

No phone, no life
Sad but true

Fans of the franchise.

Everyday people

I said, give me your hand.

Portrait of a young lady on a bright day.

Always end the day with a smile on your face and a cold drink in your hand.

More of the Sigma SD Quattro camera to follow.
