A Sunday stroll in Yokosuka

It was a beautiful Sunday in Yokosuka so I went for a walk.

Today Mt. Fuji decided to show up. You can see it just peaking up on the horizon.

A lot of people came out today. Some wearing masks, some not.

It was so nice out many were wearing a smile.

The seawall at Maborikaigon is quickly become a favorite place for my daily walk.

I walk, others ride.

And, many run.

Mt. Fuji looks like it's getting bigger.

After the seawall I look back before moving forward toward Hashirimizu beach.

Hashirimizu beach isn't exactly a sandy paradise.

It's more of a fishing port that happens to have a beach.

This boat is for harvesting seaweed.

Here's a guy with a big handful of seaweed.

I call this "Two boats and Mt. Fuji".

To the right of this sparkling red Mercedes Benz 4X4 is the public restroom. When one is on a long walk it's always good to know where the public toilets are.

Walking back to Maborikaigon. A lot of cyclist out enjoying the day.

The seawall is a big attraction on the weekend.

It's a good place to sit and think.

This guy looks like he's ready for the race track.

There are signs everywhere that say "No Fishing".

It's hard to believe that it's going to rain tomorrow.

Sometimes I wish the day could last forever.

Last shot of the day: Loading fishing stuff onto the boat.

Thanks for stopping by!
Mike
