The Yokohama Doll Museum

We had free tickets to the Yokohama Doll Museum, so, last Saturday that's where we went. It's quite easy to find look for the Marine Towe and it's on the next block past it.

From the outside the Museum is unpretentious, but once one gets inside it's packed full of Dolls! The Museum's policy on using a camera is simple; taking pictures is OK but you can't use a flash. No problem for me, I brought my Panasonic Lumix GX1 with a 50mm f1.4 lens and I shot all the pictures at ISO 200 with the aperture wide open to f 1.4.

Grumpy!

This was my favorite.

This doll picked up the bad habit of smoking.

This one reminds me of the painting "The Scream".

After we left the museum I took Emi to the Motomachi Park so that she could see how nice and peaceful it is there.

One may not realize it, but sightseeing all day is hard work that needs to be rewarded before returning home.

We stopped at my favorite stand bar in Noge (near Hinodecho train station) for a nice cold draft beer.

The stand bar was quite lively with good friendly customers.

Shifting to a Ohcha Hi! (green tea and shochu)

Everyone was enjoying the warm weather and the cold drinks - to bad it was time to leave.

Thanks for stopping by!

Tiger's Fans & Brass Bands

That's it, Hanshin Tigers baseball fans and a high school brass band festival; and a little off the wall fun! Check it out!

I don't know what is going on here. I was walking in the park and Darth Vader and a few of his buddies showed up.

Yes, it's enough to make one hug a friend.

All hail the Chief!

Or, call someone on your cell phone.

And now, meet some of the Hanshin Tiger's baseball team fans.

This was the best part of the day. A high school brass band festival.

After a day like today, there's only one way to end the day... yep, a cold drink in my favorite stand bar.

Thanks for stopping by!
