There's a reason I spend so much time in Yokohama, it's because it's the greatest city on earth! There, I've said it and there's no doubt in my mind about it. Here are random shots taken at various locations in Yokohama from 2-12 November.
The bees are still buzzing in the heart of the city.
I'm not the only one who thinks Yokohama is great.
Everyone knows it's the city of happiness!
Well, almost everyone knows.
This is the city of love.
Even the clouds are beautiful here.
The perfect city skyline.
This is a good place to be a pedestrian.
Walking is the best way to get around. There's no need to own a car. Just put one foot in front of the other and...
...before you know it you're seeing the sights.
Of course for those that do enjoy automobiles; you don't have to own one to enjoy one.
Classic cars on display at the Red Brick Warehouse area.
Red leather interior for a classic sports car.
Good old American ingenuity - behold the classic Corvette Stingray!
A classic Toyota Corona Mark II! Okay, maybe it's not a Corvette but it still looks good,
I love the small details in styling on the old cars.
Back on the streets and I thought I just saw Keith Richards.
Everybody smiles in Yokohama!
If they don't smile it's because they're part of the sophisticated in crowd.
Even the mean girls are nice.
The beat of the brass!
A High School marching band is the best entertainment for a beautiful November day.
I don't want to work
I want to bang on the drum all day
I don't want to play
I just want to bang on the drum all day
--Todd Rundgren
She's got drums and she know how to play them.
All the kids in the marketplace say
Ay oh whey oh, ay oh whey oh
Walk like an Egyptian
-- Bangles
I love the everyday people...
...they're full of character. Every face tells a story.
A lot of ships in port today.
Another day another boat load of Porsches on display.
There must be over 100 Porsches parked here.
Yes, I'll take the nice yellow one - of course I'll pay cash for it, I'm a billionaire dontcha know! (not)
The sky is so beautiful today, it looks like it was carefully painted with a brush.
Last shot of the day: Meet Joe "The Fonz" Cool!
Thanks for stopping by!
Mike
