The Perfect Stanger, The Passing Glance

When I'm out walking around for the simple pleasure of walking around just about everybody I pass by is a perfect stranger. I like strangers. Strangers are interesting because one does not know anything about them; that's what makes them perfect. These are some of the strangers I passed by on a recent walkabout in Yokohama.

Emergency preparation day event held at the Red Brick Warehouse.

Strangers on bikes.

Three for the road.

Life, it's all uphill.

When I pass by a happy couple I smile.

Crossing in style.

Holding hands will never go out of style.

Ice cream anybody?

You betcha!

Let your iPhone be your guide and you're sure to wind up falling down an open manhole, or hit by a car, or collide with another person following their phone. Endless possibilities.

There's no better place to pass by strangers than the crowded streets of China Town.

The passing glance in action.

Strangers come in all sizes.

I don't have the right kind of belly for belly-button piercing... but she does.

Hot day, cool drink, makes sense.

It's a movement.

A fashionable stranger.

Some people can walk and eat manju at the same time.

We're just good friends.

A closer look. I like the reflection in her sunglasses.

I'm starting to think that the girls out number the boys 10 to 1 in China Town. It's either that or my camera has preferences.

Choosing  a place to eat lunch in a town with over a thousand restaurants can be difficult.

The pair look; even the wrist watches seem to match.

Nice dress, a very Chinese look.

Say goodbye to China town, we're moving on.

Welcome to the dividing line between Bashamichi and Isezakicho.

Crosswalks are not for everyone.

In a few weeks  shorts will be out of season - to bad.

Clear the way for the beer delivery man.

Last shot of the day: Even a cook needs a break now and then.

Thanks for stopping by!
