Kofu Daisuki Festival

Last month we spent a night in Kofu. After checking into the hotel we decided to go for a walk around town and check things out. To our happy surprise we discovered that the town was having a big festival. These are some images I took with a Lumix LX7. This was not the camera I would have brought with me if I knew there was going to be a big street festival, but hey, one has to make do with what one has.

Happy children

It's the kimono express. If you get in the way they'll run you over.

Bang the drum!

Big flags

These girls are armed and dangerous.

Bring in the cheerleaders.

It's cat woman!

Here we are after the festival looking for a place to get something to eat and a cold beer.

Thanks for looking!

Some say, The Rose...

Last Saturday Emi and I visited a Rose Garden near Kawasaki City. And, after that we went to the Open-Air Folk House Museum in Ikuta park which is a short walk from the Rose Garden. These are some images from the day.

Ain't she sweet!

Who let this guy in the garden?

And now, The Open-Air Folk House museum

The security guard keeps an eye on the fire.

All I can say is that it was a wonderful day filled with beauty and culture.

Thanks for stopping by,
